A Bag-to-Bag Flexo Printing Machine (also called flexographic bag printer) is an industrial printing press that prints designs, logos, text, or product info directly on pre-made bags (rather than on rolls of material). It uses flexographic printing — a high-speed, rotary printing method using flexible plates and quick-drying inks — suitable for high-volume production.
Flexo printing is ideal for packaging because:
✔️ Fast printing speeds
✔️ Good color reproduction for branding
✔️ Works on plastics, paper, non-woven fabrics, woven bags, etc.
✔️ Lower cost per printed bag at scale compared to digital printing
Printing plates (flexible photopolymer/rubber) mounted on cylinders transfer ink to bag surface.
Anilox rollers meter consistent ink volume for even prints.
Inks: UV curable, water-based (depending on machine & application).
Typically includes drying or curing units so prints dry fast.
Direct bag printing — no need for roll-to-roll handling in many models.
Colors: Machines available in 1-4 color stations (some up to more).
Size adaptability: Can print small shopping bags to larger sacks (e.g., up to ~30″×55″).
Control System: Manual to semi/fully automatic (touch panels, registration control).
Material compatibility: HDPE, PP woven, non-woven, paper, kraft bags, cotton, etc.
Typical capacity ranges from ~40 bags/min on basic models to ~1500-3500+ bags/hr on larger semi/auto systems.
